Position Description: Intensive In-Home Counselor (QMHP-C) is responsible for providing direct in-home services to children, adolescents, and their families. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and demonstrate solid clinical skills with families. Responsibilities include care coordination/service coordination services in the youth's home and interfacing with various systems that work with youth such as schools, courts, and social services. Qualifications: * To be considered as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), you must have a Bachelors Degree in a human services field (human services field to include Bachelor degrees in social work, gerontology, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, special education, counseling, and human services counseling).as well as one year of clinical experience with this population to include volunteer work, internships, etc. Duties/Responsibilities: * Establish open lines of communication and trust to serve the mental health needs of youth and improve the quality of life for clients with severe behavioral problems or mental illness * IIH counselors establish trust between themselves and their clients, to allow for healing, learning, and development to take place. * Manages a small caseload of clients, providing services on a routine basis and utilizing short-term, solution focused and assistance strategies * Prepares written service plans, incorporating input from clients and other involved service providers, that clearly identifies problem areas and needs, strategies, and service objectives * Responds to clients crisis situations as necessary * Documents client activities and interventions for both clinical and billing purposes * Prepares progress reports as required by referral source or service purchaser * Works with Clinical Supervisor to increase effectiveness of therapeutic and clinical interventions * Tracking all individualized service plans (ISPs) and paperwork * Ensure paperwork is completed in a timely manner Job Types: Full-time, Contract Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 /hour Experience: * adolescent counseling: 1 year Education: * Bachelor's 14 hours ago - save job Apply Now Please review all application instructions before applying to Soaring Eagles VA Family Support Services.
