About the Role
As a Social Media Content Specialist, you’ll:
Create a content calendar and schedule engaging social media content across platforms.
Conduct research to stay on top of trends.
Ensure content is fresh and relevant.
Use storytelling techniques to highlight the missions and impact of organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Craft content tailored to each platform, ranging from Instagram captions to LinkedIn posts.
Develop and maintain a social media calendar to ensure consistent posting.
Generate creative ideas for social campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
Monitor social media trends and adapt content strategies accordingly.
Create concise, clear, and visually compelling posts that meet brand guidelines.
Proofread and edit posts for grammar, tone, and accuracy before publishing.
Implement best practices for creating reach, hashtags, post timing, and audience engagement.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
2-5 years of experience in social media content creation, management, or strategy.
A passion for storytelling, marketing, and audience engagement.
Expertise in writing for different platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
Strong organizational skills to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with scheduling tools.
Confidence in giving and receiving feedback to continually elevate content.

Additional Information
This is an hourly contractor position starting at 30-40 hours per month , with the potential to grow based on performance and project needs. The flexibility in hours allows you to balance other commitments while delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
