Job Description
- Creates and publishes content on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, to grow an audience, build brand awareness, and ultimately, boost sales
- Research social media trends and making recommendations for client campaigns - Develops content for social media
- Coordinates and administers the development of quality social media content targeted at youth between the ages of 17-24
- Be up to date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snap Chat, etc.)
- Maintains and optimizes social media pages to increase the Youth's program social content visibility - Seeks out new businesses to communicate about our youth program
- Creates content, including text posts, video and images for use on social media
- Promotes products, services and content over social media, in a way that is consistent with an organization's brand and social media strategy
- Schedules social media posts using applications such as CANVA, Constant Contact, other applications as appropriate - Interacts with customers and dealing with customers' inquiries
- Must possess skills in developing, maintaining reporting systems, with experience in database management, networking, and Microsoft Office programs.
- Develops new social media strategies and campaigns
- Manages a budget to be spent on promoting social media posts and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising
- Keeps track of data and analyzing the performance of social media campaigns - Collaborates with colleagues from across marketing departments to ensure branding is consistent
- Meets with clients and other stakeholders (such as social media influencers). These meetings may involve pitching potential marketing campaigns
- Persuasive communication, Customer Service, and organizational skills.
- Keeps detailed records of customer interactions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or experience commensurate with duties
- Knowledge of and an interest in the methods organizations use to promote themselves through social media
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Organizational and problem-solving skills - Analytical ability
- Ability to make small group and 1-1 presentations to individuals and business representatives
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining professional relationships with local employers, community agencies and schools, focusing on developing customer engagement, presenting to young adults 17 -24 and Business leaders leading to participant employment opportunities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of skills and experience in the following areas: web design and web publishing, still photography, photoshop, image optimization, website and social media analytics, web content management systems and experience working with multiple content managers, social media operation and strategy, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, digital video production and editing tools, video streaming, podcasting, and mobile applications, one on one presentations and small group presentations, Ability to network within the community and attend local events to increase awareness of programs and outreach to local businesses to become partners to our programs.
Additional Information
Extensive standing, and sitting and continuous computer, phone, and deskwork required. Work will be primarily in a defined office environment with specified hours. Will require one on one and group interaction with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds. Must be available for out of office meetings, conferences, training, and other events as needed. Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel around the county in personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided) Must have clean driving record and ability to pass the Criminal History, Child Abuse History and FBI background checks.
