    Position Overview:

    More Perfect Union is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Fellow to support our social media team in engaging and growing our audience, with a focus on Facebook and Instagram. This individual will be responsible for creating engaging content, managing responses on Messenger, and assisting with graphic design for various types of Facebook posts. Additionally, the Social Media Fellow will collaborate with the Instagram team on content creation and play a role in developing and implementing our social media strategy across platforms.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Content Development: Create and curate compelling content for Facebook, including posts, stories, memes, reels, and more, to boost engagement and reach.
    • Graphic Design: Design and develop high-quality visual content for Facebook, including static images, memes, and reels, to captivate and connect with our audience.
    • Instagram Collaboration: Work closely with the Instagram team to develop content specifically tailored to Instagram while maintaining synergy between both platforms.
    • Strategic Planning: Assist in developing and executing both short-term and long-term strategies for Facebook, aligning with broader organizational goals.
    • Trend Research: Stay updated on current news, trends, and social media best practices to generate fresh ideas and bring creative content to both Facebook and Instagram platforms.
    • Community Management: Monitor and respond to messages on Facebook Messenger in a timely and professional manner, ensuring excellent follower interaction and engagement.

    Qualifications:

    • Passion for, and substantial knowledge of, national politics and economic justice issues.
    • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) and experience in creating graphics for social media.
    • Proficiency in social media platforms, especially Facebook and Instagram, with a strong understanding of current trends.
    • An excellent writer, communicator and collaborator, with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with online audiences professionally and empathetically.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a social media team.
    • Creativity, adaptability, and eagerness to stay ahead of social media trends.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
    • Available full-time hours and able to excel in a remote - work from home environment.
