    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Social Service Programs Director to join our team! As the Social Service Program Director, it will be your responsibility to identify gaps and areas of improvement within our community, and create a plan of action to solve these problems. This can include talking with individuals in need, working with other employees to find solutions to issues, and overall contributing to the community as a whole. The ideal candidate has a compassionate attitude, experience working with people in need, and strong problem-solving skills.

    Responsibilities The Director of the Behavior Respite Program will oversee the effective management, quality, and compliance of the respite services provided to clients. This role requires leadership, strategic planning, and operational oversight to ensure the program meets the needs of families, adheres to regulatory guidelines, and supports the mission of the organization. Responsibilities include:

    Program Development and Oversight

    Design, implement, and evaluate the Behavior Respite Program to meet the needs of clients and families.

    Ensure all services comply with regional center requirements, state regulations, and company policies.

    Develop and monitor program policies and procedures, ensuring they are consistently applied across the team.

    Establish measurable goals and benchmarks for program quality and outcomes.

    Team Leadership and Supervision

    Responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising Respite Providers, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and administrative staff.

    Provide leadership guidance and support to the Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) who oversee and supervise direct care services.

    Conduct regular team meetings to address updates, challenges, and professional development opportunities.

    Ensure staff maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing training.

    Client and Family Relations

    Serve as the primary point of contact for families receiving respite services.

    Assess family needs and match them with qualified staff to ensure appropriate service delivery.

    Address concerns and feedback from families promptly and professionally.

    Compliance and Quality Assurance

    Monitor service delivery to ensure high standards of care and compliance with individual client service plans.

    Conduct regular audits of client records, timesheets, and program documentation.

    Investigate and resolve incidents, ensuring documentation and corrective actions are completed as needed.

    Operational Management

    Oversee scheduling and assignment of respite providers to meet client needs efficiently.

    Manage program budgets, including staffing, resources, and materials.

    Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate billing and timely submission of service reports.

    Stakeholder Collaboration

    Serve as the liaison between the organization and the regional center (e.g., RCEB), ensuring positive working relationships.

    Participate in regional center meetings, reviews, and audits as required.

    Collaborate with other program directors and organizational leadership to align goals and resources.

    Reporting and Data Management

    Track and report on program metrics, such as client satisfaction, staff performance, and service delivery outcomes.

    Use data to inform decision-making and propose improvements to the program.

    Provide regular updates to senior leadership on program performance and strategic initiatives.

    Crisis Management

    Respond to urgent client or staff issues with appropriate interventions and problem-solving strategies.

    Develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions in service delivery.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s or higher in social work or equivalent field desired

    State licensure preferred

    Experience with social work desired

    Experience in a people-facing role

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Experience with basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Office suite
