  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Plan and conduct research-based, evidence-driven educational workshops, classes, and briefings focusing on prevention and enrichment (e.g., parenting, stress management, healthy relationships, child development, etc.)
    • Facilitate monthly playgroup sessions ensuring safe, structured, and hygienic playgroup environments that promote communication and social skills development for children and foster connections among parents
    • Provide annual training for Commanders, First Sergeants, Senior Enlisted personnel, and others on domestic violence and child abuse/neglect
    • Deliver specific training on identifying, reporting, and preventing child abuse and intimate partner violence for military personnel
    • Maintain accurate training records
    • Assist with implementing approved marketing plan to promote FAP awareness, including brochures, posters, and online content
    • This includes conducting monthly outreach events (e.g., participating in community readiness events)
    • Assist in planning and executing major awareness campaigns (e.g., Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Child Abuse Prevention Month)
    • Assist in implementing the FAP Prevention Plan, including scheduling and conducting workshops and training sessions based on needs assessments, prevention data, and best practices
    • Assist in conducting and analyzing community needs assessments to identify training and prevention gaps by collecting data through surveys or focus groups
    • Participate in regular meetings (e.g., FAP staff meetings, Family Advocacy Committee) and provide statistical information related to services delivered
    • Be prepared to provide personnel crisis support in the event of a crisis, disaster, or local emergency, following the established protocols
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of an associate's degree in education, social or behavioral science, or related field from an accredited institution
    • Two (2) years of experience in family and children services or community organization, of which at least one year is in family violence, child abuse neglect or maltreatment-related services
    • Personal and/or professional experience with military personnel and military family members
    • Demonstrated ability to create and present effective professional PowerPoint training slides on a variety of related FAP and ACS training topics
    • Experience in computer operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows, and computer applications, such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft TEAMS, Excel, Publisher, Power Point and
    • Experience providing customer service to a diverse population. This may include face-to-face telephonic, virtual trainings and presentations, public speaking, or written communication.
