Children's Outpatient Therapist
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Children's Outpatient Therapist to provide high-quality mental health services for children and families. This role offers a flexible schedule, competitive pay, and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and complete necessary documentation.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
- Collaborate with clients on crisis planning and advocacy.
- Ensure compliance with community health standards and licensing requirements.
- Maintain professional development and effective therapeutic relationships.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's Degree or higher.
- Licensure: Must be licensed or eligible in Michigan as one of the following:
* Temporary Limited License Psychologist (TLLP), Limited License Psychologist (LLP), or fully Licensed Psychologist (LP).
* Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW) under LMSW supervision.
* Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC).
- Requirements:
* Full licensure (LMSW, LP, LPC) preferred.
* State licensure must be active, without disciplinary action, and achieved within the training period.
* Must meet Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) requirements for a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) within 120 days of hire.
* Must pass MDHHS Central Registry and criminal background checks.
* One year of experience in evaluating and treating minors and families required.
- Skills:
* Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer systems preferred.
* Strong cultural competency and ability to engage diverse populations.
* Effective communication, flexibility, and collaborative teamwork.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with at least 4 hours worked weekly after 5:00 p.m.
- Full-time employees must provide 23 billable service hours per week.
Travel:
- Occasional local travel required.
