    The position of Social Worker - Guardianship consists of assisting the Guardian with making arrangements for the care and custody of the client (an impaired adult with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or dementia) by making sure their daily needs are met and they are getting the care they need. We need someone who is an effective communicator, incredibly organized, and self-motivated. Our ideal applicant will have experience in social work and two years of experience working with traumatically brain-injured individuals or developmentally disabled individuals. We also want someone with a personality clients will enjoy working with. $25 - $35 hourly; health insurance - 100% employer paid Responsibilities: • Talk to and listen to clients; seek to understand the client’s perspective • Make decisions using best judgment in key areas of the client’s life and follow through on decisions such as placement, medical treatment and ways to improve their quality of life • Manage a caseload of clients and complete all required documentation under the supervision of the Director of Guardianship Services • Make visits to client’s homes (group homes, assisted living, semi-independent living programs) to assess whether client’s needs are being met • Coordinate and attend team meetings with clients and professionals on their treatment team • Make sure clients are getting the care as outlined in their treatment plan Qualifications: • College education required. Social work degree and experience preferred • Experience working with individuals with cognitive impairments • Professional, self-motivated, ability to stay on task and complete job requirements • Organized and strong work ethic • Compassionate and good listener • Good communication skills, both verbal and written • Creative problem solver • Fun Compensation: $25 - $35 hourly
