    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker with an MSW (Master of Social Work) degree and at least 1 year of professional or internship experience to join our team. This role will focus on providing critical support to migrant populations, addressing their unique needs and helping them navigate available resources and services. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse communities and a strong commitment to social justice and advocacy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Client Support and Advocacy: Provide direct social work services to migrant individuals and families, including psychosocial assessments, case management, and emotional support.
    • Resource Coordination: Assist clients in accessing essential resources such as housing, healthcare, legal aid, education, employment, and social services by connecting them with community partners and organizations.
    • Cultural Sensitivity and Trauma-Informed Care: Apply culturally competent and trauma-informed approaches when working with clients who have experienced displacement, migration trauma, or other forms of hardship.
    • Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate support and intervention during crisis situations, including assistance with relocation, family reunification, and access to emergency services.
    • Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with legal, healthcare, educational, and other service providers to create comprehensive, individualized care plans for clients.
    • Outreach and Community Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, shelters, and migrant support networks to better serve the migrant population and raise awareness of available services.
    • Case Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential case records, ensure timely documentation, and contribute to periodic reporting to demonstrate program outcomes and client progress.
    • Advocacy and Policy Awareness: Stay informed about immigration policies and advocate for systemic change to support migrant populations' rights and well-being.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience or internship in social work (experience with migrant populations preferred).
    • Strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by migrant populations, including legal, social, and economic issues.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a multicultural environment with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
    • Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, Arabic, etc.) is highly desirable.
