Job Title: Social Worker Supervisor
Location: Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM ($50/hr)
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM ($53/hr)
Schedule: 4 - 7 days a week
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work (LMSW required).
- Experience: 3-5 years in social work, with 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Job Overview:
Judit is hiring Social Worker Supervisors to oversee a team of social workers for our client. In this role, you'll support social workers in providing top-notch services to clients and ensure quality case management. You'll also offer clinical guidance, contribute to program development, and work closely with community partners to help vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of social workers, providing clinical guidance and ensuring they follow professional standards.
- Conduct individual and group supervision sessions to guide social workers on complex cases and professional growth.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including case notes and service plans.
- Manage social workers' caseloads to ensure balanced workloads and effective service delivery.
- Resolve conflicts between social workers and clients, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Client Services and Case Management:
- Review and approve case management plans to ensure they meet client needs and align with organizational goals.
- Support social workers in providing holistic care that addresses clients' mental health, economic, and social needs.
- Coordinate client care with external service providers like healthcare, housing, and legal services.
- Ensure that social workers deliver trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care.
- Advocate for clients and ensure their rights are respected in all interactions.
Program Development and Compliance:
- Help develop and implement new programs to improve client outcomes and expand service capacity.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as organizational policies.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and other service providers.
- Monitor performance indicators and contribute to evaluating program success.
- Assist with preparing reports for audits, grants, and program reviews.
Training and Professional Development:
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance social workers' skills and knowledge.
- Ensure the team stays up-to-date with the latest research, clinical practices, and regulatory changes.
- Lead workshops and training sessions focused on best practices in social work and client care.
Crisis Management and Intervention:
- Lead the response to crisis situations, offering immediate support and guidance to both clients and staff.
- Support social workers in managing high-risk cases and develop appropriate action plans.
- Collaborate with external agencies, such as hospitals or law enforcement, during client emergencies.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Experience with case management, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care.
- Knowledge of social work ethics, practices, and regulations.
- Ability to guide teams during high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Preferred but not required: Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Spanish).
