Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Counseling: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ psychosocial needs and create personalized treatment plans that foster healing, empowerment, and long-term well-being.
Individual & Group Therapy: Provide therapeutic interventions, including one-on-one, family, and group counseling sessions, tailored to meet the needs of a diverse clientele, including those affected by trauma, poverty, or mental illness.
Crisis Intervention: Respond effectively to individuals in acute distress, providing immediate support and guidance to ensure safety and stability.
Case Management: Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure continuity of care and access to necessary resources such as housing, employment, and social services.
Advocacy & Community Engagement: Actively advocate on behalf of clients to address systemic challenges and build collaborative relationships with community stakeholders to improve access to services.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of all client interactions and adhere to HIPAA regulations, licensing requirements, and ethical standards of practice.
Professional Development: Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to stay informed about best practices and innovations in the field of social work.
Qualifications
Education & License: ASW, Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program; active LCSW license in the State of California.
Experience: Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience providing clinical services in a nonprofit, community-based, or mental health setting.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in clinical assessment, counseling techniques, and therapeutic interventions
Knowledge of trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and crisis management
Strong understanding of social service resources, community partnerships, and case management best practices
Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity to serve diverse communities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
