    This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Software Analyst in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:

    • Work within a small team to develop and support Manufacturing Execution System applications for the Richland nuclear fuel fabrication facility (Inventory control, recipe management, quality control, machine integration, machine automation, ERP interfaces).

    • Interact directly with internal customers to define project requirements and evaluate the resulting software solution.

    • Project sizes vary from small, 1 day assignments, to multiple month team projects.

    • Technical writing skills in providing documentation and assist in end user training.

    • Application support for software solutions (problem resolution, enhancements, retirement) will be required.

    Framatome’s Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. This position is safety-sensitive and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening is required. Any employment offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.

    Your Total Rewards Package

    The range of base salary for the position is between $90,000 - $122,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.

    General Functions

    Product / Project Life Cycle Engineering

    • Support electrical/electronic design activities including component selection in terms of part performance, materials, construction, distribution/availability and cost.
    • Perform Obsolescence Management activities including making informed, alternate part recommendations to staff engineers.
    • Interface with part and component manufacturers to verify and validate OEM part numbers, qualified manufacturers, qualified manufacturer part numbers, part availability, alternate part numbers (and sources), National Stock Numbers (NSNs), Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) items, and other components.
    • Develop and maintain Kearfott electronic component databases.
    • Apply critical analysis of component manufacturer data sheets to identify suitability in Kearfott product applications.
    • Perform reliability analysis and application stress assessment using ANSYS, Matlab, and other CAE tools.
    • Apply relevant internal, industry and government standards.
    • Support product improvement/cost reduction initiatives.
    • Support design and analyses using Altium®, OrCad®, HyperLynx®, Pspice®, LTSpice® etc.
    • Generate requirements, specifications, and verification/validations procedures for electronic assemblies.
    • Participate as a member of a cross-functional project team including: mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers and technicians.
    • Support production, manufacturing, repair and product improvement initiatives.

    Applicable Competencies

    • Adept in file management platforms including SVN (file version control), Sharepoint (file sharing) and cloud-based interfaces.
    • Able to apply formal enterprise document release and revision control processes.
    • Excellent presentation skills and presentation preparation (design reviews, marketing presentations, etc.).
    • Ability to effectively communicate, in writing and verbally, across all engineering disciplines.
    • Ability to lead effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
    • Accept and positively respond to constructive criticism to improve personal and project performance.
