    Job Description

    Link Solutions is seeking a Software Architect to join our team in support of the US Army's Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, KS.

    • Must be a US Citizen
    • Requires a Secret Clearance
    • Candidates must possess an IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security Training, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC) equivalent or higher.
    • Candidates must possess one of the following Microsoft CE: Azure Developer Associate, Power Platform Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert, or Power Platform Solution Architect Expert.
    • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Lead software architecture and design for enterprise web applications, integrating modern frameworks while sustaining legacy codebases.
    • Define software patterns, architecture standards, and coding practices to ensure maintainability, performance, and security.
    • Translate functional requirements from stakeholders into technical architecture artifacts (e.g., UML diagrams, and interface control documents).
    • Oversee software refactoring, API development, and modularization to support agile modernization and deployment strategies.
    • Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel to implement secure coding practices and integrate RMF compliance and STIG controls.
    • Support DevSecOps pipelines including continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment scripting.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must be a US Citizen.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
    • Eight (8) years of software development experience with at least 3 years in a software architecture role.
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT Service Management, or other IT-related fields.
    • IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security Training, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC) equivalent or higher.
    • Candidates must possess certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Power Platform Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert, or Power Platform Solution Architect Expert to meet the new DoD 8140.03 guidelines.
    • Experience in DoD environments and understanding of secure coding practices.
    • Strong proficiency in enterprise software architecture (monolithic to microservices transitions, could-native design).
    • Deep knowledge of at least one major development stack (e.g., .NET, Java, Node.js).
    • Experience with web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs) and frameworks (Angular, React, or similar).
    • Working knowledge of DevSecOps tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube) and secure development methodologies.
    • Familiarity with DoD Cybersecurity practices and software compliance requirements.

    Preferred:

    • Active Secret Clearance.
    • Experience with SharePoint customizations, Power Platform, or Azure services.
    • Familiarity with Agile development and DevSecOps practices and workflows.
    • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
    • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
    • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
    • Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
    • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.

    This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of the government contract and the completion of ongoing negotiations. We anticipate these processes will be completed within the next several weeks, at which time interviews and offers will be extended upon successful contract award.
