Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Software Architect to design and oversee the technical standards of software systems. This individual will be responsible for transitioning business logic from legacy systems into a modern, domain-driven microservices architecture and developing high-performance APIs to expose core business functionalities. The role involves leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Java (Spring Boot), Kafka/RabbitMQ, and OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect to create scalable, secure, and efficient services.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement event-driven communication between microservices using Kafka or RabbitMQ for high-performance asynchronous processing.
Develop and expose core functionalities through an API Gateway, ensuring optimal management of API traffic.
Design and establish the technical architecture of software systems to ensure alignment with business goals and technological capabilities.
Develop comprehensive architectural blueprints and documentation to guide development teams throughout the software lifecycle.
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, recommending tools, frameworks, and platforms that enhance system performance and scalability.
Provide leadership in making critical decisions regarding software architecture, including design patterns, technology choices, and system integrations.
Proactively address technical challenges and provide solutions that optimize system reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Communicate architectural decisions and rationale to key stakeholders and leadership to ensure alignment and support for the software strategy.
Qualifications
Experience in the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of financial products, services, and industry regulations.
Proven experience with microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and Java (Spring Boot).
Hands-on experience with event-driven communication and messaging platforms like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
Strong understanding of API management, including rate limiting, throttling, and security practices.
Expertise in OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication and authorization protocols.
Solid experience with API versioning and ensuring backward compatibility.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with Oracle and .NET legacy systems is a plus.
Experience in the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of financial products, services, and industry regulations.
