Overview: OPEXUS is seeking a highly skilled Configuration Engineer & Business Analyst Specialist. This role is vital for supporting the implementation and configuration of secure web applications at the National Geospatial Agency (NGA) in St. Louis, MO, through remote partnership with the OPEXUS project team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise in configuration management, software deployment, and business analysis with strong customer engagement and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: • Technical Management: o Oversee day-to-day operations of NGA OIG’s management system, ensuring it meets evolving expectations, policies, and legal requirements. o Deploy, administer, and support secure web applications on both Windows and Linux environments. o Manage virtualized server environments within private cloud infrastructures. o Utilize DEVOPS methodologies, including CI/CD scenarios, and manage source code using Git/GitHub or similar tools. o Maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, and perform backend data and statistical analysis for instant requests. • Data Migration o Manage on-prem data migration of classified data in coordination with off-site OPEXUS staff o Facilitate the data mapping between NGA source systems and the OPEXUS applications to prepare for migration o Review and provide feedback on data migration scripts prepared by OPEXUS o Run data migration scripts on classified data in lower test environments and review output for consistency and accuracy o Coordinate and lead data migration for the Production environment • Business Analysis: o Capture and document “as-is” and “to-be” business processes, preparing functional requirements, use cases, and instructional documentation. o Configure, test, and implement business processes to meet defined requirements. o Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collaborate with IT and business personnel to achieve project milestones. o Provide top-tier customer service, application training, and product demonstrations both onsite and online. o Manage project tasks, coordinate resources, and ensure timely completion of milestones. • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: o Serve as the primary point of contact for NGA OIG personnel, offering immediate assistance and best practices on system usage. o Maintain strong relationships with NGA government and contractor IT personnel, delivering monthly presentations to OIG leadership on system changes and successes. o Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for all stakeholders. Required Qualifications: • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with polygraph. • Education: o Bachelor’s Degree + 10 years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree + 5 years of relevant experience. • Experience: o 8+ years in Configuration Management, with 5+ years within the OIG system. o Experience in project management, business analysis, and customer-focused roles. o Software development experience, with proficiency in SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, etc.) and scripting tasks. • Technical Skills: o Expertise in web application deployment and administration on both Windows and Linux servers. o Familiarity with private cloud environments and DEVOPS practices. o Working knowledge of Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server. o Understanding of containerized applications, particularly Docker and Kubernetes. Desired Skills: • Project management and help desk support experience. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio). • Ability to manage multiple roles within a project, including training and user support. Additional Information: • Travel: Occasional travel may be required to support project milestones or product presentations. • SCIF: Contractor needs readily available access to a Secure Classified Information Facility
