    About the Job

    Mission

Our client is on an ambitious mission to provide businesses with the infrastructure to unlock their revenue potential. Best-in-class companies align their monetization strategies with product usage—whether through seats, consumption, feature limits, or usage-based tiers. The company brings that opportunity to every software organization.

They are reimagining billing and invoicing for the era of hybrid pricing in software. Billing is no longer just a finance issue but a high-stakes engineering and observability problem that urgently needs solving. The company adopts a developer-first, data infrastructure approach to this challenge, enabling businesses to fully automate their billing processes and evolve their monetization strategies over time.

The product supports end-to-end revenue workflows: developers appreciate its extensibility and intuitive API, product managers can iterate on pricing and packaging faster, finance teams gain fine-grained reporting for revenue recognition, and customer-facing teams benefit from the transparency the product brings to customer relationships.

    Role & Impact

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will design and maintain product features that require a deep understanding of reliable and scalable systems. The infrastructure team works across the entire stack and ships products quickly. Unlike auxiliary or support teams, this infrastructure team is a core part of the company's offering.

You will tackle a broad range of infrastructure challenges, including:

    • Building and scaling data ingestion pipelines to support ever-increasing data volumes, ingesting up to one billion events an hour, with a focus on robustness and accuracy.
    • Scaling query throughput against specialized datastores to support real-time alerting while maintaining flexibility in customer-defined metrics, enabling usage limits and spend management.
    • Providing performant and flexible APIs for customers and end-users to build experiences that leverage usage data.
    • Designing and building system-level components, such as a robust rate and cost limiting strategy across the company's API.

This is an opportunity to be foundational in the infrastructure team, laying the groundwork for both technical processes and product investments. Your early work will be key to the company's product scaling over the next decade.
