    Input Technology Solutions is seeking multiple Software Engineers for an opportunity based in Columbia, MD. This contract provides operations research, modeling and simulation services to our customer and are responsible for the development and application of quantitative analytical methods, including models and simulations, to support Agency operations. The major driver in the establishment of the organization was to facilitate the integration of formal quantitative techniques into CSS processes. Knowledge and skills from the areas of: information research; systems analysis; decision analysis; operations research applications; software evaluation; software development, all phases - requirements definition, design, implementation, test and evaluation, installation, training, and documentation; modeling and simulation (M&S); Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A); and the application of models to accomplish special studies and analysis projects

    What you will do:
    • The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
    • Works individually or as part of a team.
    • Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
    • Resolves software problem reports.
    • Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
    • Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
    What you need to have:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required and 20+ years of experience; or
      • Master's Degree and 16+ years of experience; or
      • PhD and 10 years of experience
    • Clearance: TS/SCI w FSP (Full Scope Poly)
    • 20 years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
    • 4 years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
