Operations & Technology: (O&T) is a $1B operating cash flow ($1.5B FCF) division of NBCUniversal. The group functions as a global shared service within NBCUniversal performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security. The group operates from numerous locations around the world, including New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Denver, Connecticut, and London.
Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:
Corp Tech Data & Analytics Engineering: The Corp Tech Data and Analytics Engineering team is responsible for building and supporting all Data and Analytics solutions for Financial Services and HCM operations at NBCUniversal. This team supports all divisions of NBCU and provides the intern with the opportunity to observe the entire operations of NBCU as a unified entity. Additionally, the team consolidates financial data across corporate and divisional levels. By collaborating with this team, the intern gains valuable exposure to the back operations of a large organization.
Business Technology Platform Engineering : We are the SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) team. This is a Horizontal team that manages Integration and Cloud applications related to SAP. The intern will support writing & integrating source and target using SAP CPI platform, as well as automating certain business process steps.
GND Network Ops & Wi-Fi: Our small group manages and maintains the NBCU Wi-Fi infrastructure around the company. We're part of the greater global network team of about 60 engineers and operational staff around the company. There are 2 employees in LA and 2 in NYC. Network engineers in general are located mostly in LA, NYC, and the UK. There are a few smaller groups within Denver, Stamford, and Miami and many more that are fully remote. The Wi-Fi team manages all global NBCU properties except for UDX. The intern will support automating and making dashboards to help monitor the Wi-Fi network better.
GND Automation & Reliability: Although we're in the Network organization, our team is more on the DevOps/Software side of Engineering because our primary focus is developing software, which includes both front-end and backend development to enable the Network Engineering community to engineer, deploy, and operate the network fleet at scale. The intern will assist the team in developing our front-end UI as well as back-end code architecture!
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.

Desired Characteristics:
The hourly rate for undergraduate student interns is $30.00.
The hourly rate for graduate student interns is $30.00.
