    Job Description

    The Software Project Liaison builds the bridge between the local customers and the central software project execution development centre. The Liaison is in close contact with the local customers and can discuss and clarify software related requirements with the customer and authorities and convey these requirements to the software project execution team for further discussion and clarification. The Software Project Liaison can also help manage collaboration with local partners on the project as well as collaboration with the regional BEUMER team and the team on-site. This applies specifically to the planning and specification phase of the projects but also during commissioning, handover and go-live as well as in the hyper care phase. When in operation, the Software Project Liaison can also support Customer Support in dialogues with the customer when it comes modernisation programs etc.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Customer collaboration: * Clarify customer requirements and understand the underlying pains/needs. * Promote existing BEUMER solutions to requirements. * Participate in customer meetings and workshops. * Actively seek plus-sales opportunities.
    • Requirements management: * Articulate customer needs, pains and demands to the software project execution team. * Clarify technical requirements in collaboration with the software project execution team. * Handle local documentation requirements.
    • Technical solution: * In collaboration with the software project execution team, work out high-level design specifications and functional specifications. * In collaboration with the project execution team, work out interface specifications. * Manage (local) external interfaces
    • Stakeholder management: * Establish and maintain good relations and close contacts with local customers, suppliers and partners. * Align customer expectations with the project solution architect and execution team. * Bridge the gap between the local customer and the Software Project Manager. * Coordinate and align with BEUMER regional and on-site teams. * Align customer expectations and plus-sales opportunities with Sales. * Provide timely and transparent monthly reporting as needed by the software project management. * Travel to customer locations in the US, and occasional travel to Denmark with 1-2 weeks of duration, 4-6 times Annually.

    ** Requirements/Skills and Abilities:**

    • * Bachelor's degree, Master's Degree preferred, in Computer Science, IT, SW Engineering or related field.
      
      • Familiar with PC based software development, preferably hands-on experience.
      • Familiar with IT infrastructure network and components best practise.
      • Familiar with cyber security best practise.
      • Familiar with stage/gate development processes, preferably also CMMI.
      • Familiar with Quality Assurance best practise, preferable also within Test Management.
      • Some knowledge on project management, certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
      • Experience with the airport domain, automation and/or baggage handling systems is a big plus.
      • Ability to work flexible hours to collaborate with Denmark Team - (8:00 to 16:00 GMT+1)
      • Able to travel to job sites, as required and in line with given project scope – on average, up to 40% per year

    Salary Range: $94,000 - $129,000 annually
