    We are seeking a dynamic Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. In this role, we will need your help with some internal quality audit (Automotive, ISO 26262, ASPICE) and answering interface with customer.     Responsibilities:

    Under the responsibility of the Software Quality Assurance engineer role you will be integrated in an engineering Team and your tasks will be to:

    • Work closely with development and product management to balance safety, quality, and commercial requirements for customers primarily in the aerospace industry as well as automotive, industrial, medical, and other industries.
    • Contribute to the testing strategy.
    • Conduct Functional Safety Audits and Confirmation Reviews for software safety projects.
    • Support SW and CEH development teams relative to quality and the product life-cycle model.
    • Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure the QMS supports functional safety certification activities for ISO 26262, IEC 61508 or other safety related standards.
    • Carry out the continual improvement of the QMS and maintaining certification ISO 9001
    • Conduct quality assurance process and work product audits
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in software (DO-178C), complex electronic hardware (DO-254), or equivalent industry doing disciplined embedded development.
    • Ideally have direct experience focused on QMS compliance.: ISO 9001 or similar Quality Management System standards (mandatory) ISO 26262 IEC 61508 ISO 21434 SEI – CMMI IEC 62304 DO-178C SPICE ISO/IEC 15504 and/or Automotive SPICE
    • Aerospace (DO-178C/DO-254) experience. Provisional or competent assessor is preferred.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with internal teams.
    • Experience with Management System auditing, preferably with ISO 9001
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a excellent attention to detail.
    • Experience with software quality management systems, quality control methodologies and tools
    • Preference if located in the Hartford area. Otherwise, must be able to travel approximately four weeks in the year.
