JOB: KRONOS TECHNICAL / WIM INTERFACE DEVELOPER

LOCATION: BUFFALO, NY

DURATION: CONTRACT POSITION.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role is a critical assignment working as a Kronos subject matter expert and developer. The client has a pipeline of projects targeted to begin in early 2021. Each project is expected to run 4-6 months, with some running simultaneously. This position is within an existing client team that is positioned in Buffalo, NY, but has Business and IT in other cities. The project roadmap includes implementing many new features and improvements in existing Kronos v8. This role supports a client in the IS&T Workforce Management Team that has responsibility for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting integration solutions.

Activities include understanding and translating business requirements to technical terms, working with business subject matter experts, cross-functional IT teams, and self-managing tasks to timelines. Create and maintain technical specifications. Work closely to collaborate and communicate with Cloud based vendor.

Candidate will need Kronos background with strong WIM interface background along with an understanding of system configuration. Database knowledge and experience with writing, executing and querying using SQL server. Experience with file transfer tools.

FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Kronos is client's workforce management application currently used by the North America region frontline and salaried employees for time and attendance tracking, scheduling, paid time off tracking and labor analytics.

Critical Musts include experience in working in high profile project situations. Must be able to quickly ramp up on client approach. This is an onshore/onsite role. First and foremost, strong candidates for this role will be pro-active, senior problem solvers who have hands-on ability and analytical skills and perform at high levels. The candidate must be able and comfortable taking responsibility for this scope of work, and own it.

Ideal Candidate:

Must have hands-on experience in implementing and configuring Kronos WFC (Workforce Central) v8.0 and strong technical knowledge on all phases of Kronos WFC

Strong technical knowledge in Kronos WIM (Workforce Integration Manager) and hands-on experience in designing and maintaining complex Interfaces between Kronos solutions and third-party systems e.g., payroll, ERP with Workforce Integration Management XML API to extract payroll data, Import and Export Interfaces

Sound knowledge in configuring Kronos WFC modules - Timekeeping, Scheduling, Accruals, Forecasting and Analytics; also, hands on experience on Setup Configurations - Pay code, Pay rules, Adjustment rules, Work rules, Zones, Access profiles

Must be fluent in SQL and in-depth understanding of Kronos basic views/tables for querying business specific data; experience in SQL reporting services for developing custom reports and integration of custom reports with Kronos. Experience in developing and deploying SaaS/Cloud applications and services into production.

Should be able to identify, troubleshoot and fix Kronos issues
