    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    CNF Technologies is searching for a Software Tester to support United States Space Force (USSF) by developing software in support of Space Systems Command (SSC) Cyber Operations Branch rapid agile development of defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to both ground and space based cyber adversarial threats. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.

    FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:

    As a Software Tester , your development activities at the Cyber Operations Branch program office adhere to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). SAFe offers proven, integrated principles, practices, and competencies to implement lead, agile, and DevOps at scale. Additionally, this program office personifies DevSecOps which automates the integration of security at every phase of the software development lifecycle from initial design, through integration, testing, deployment, and software delivery. These development efforts shall result in two deployable defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to USSF mission systems.

    Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

    • Analyze test results and coordinate with the development teams for bug fixes. Analyze the underlying causes of performance issues and provide corrective action. Develop an automated test scenario and environment for performance testing. Review and recommend improvements in existing test procedures. Coordination with the testing team to develop performance test plans and cases. Must be able to use all web methods like GET, PUT, POST, DELETE etc. Must be able to validate xml and json body using json parser. Know how to use the OAuth and OAuth2 authentication mechanisms. Must be able to Load and Security testing on web services. Designing and developing test automation scripts to create, enhance, debug, and run test cases. Using test automation guidelines. Researching issues in software through testing to validate feedback, response time, & error code.

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Programming Languages (at least 2): • Java, Angular, Gitlab, RHEL, JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr & Python • Experience or knowledge in the following areas: Agile methodologies, agile project management, software development life cycle management, cross-functional team, agile software testing, test-driven development, software test planning, software test automation

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Familiarity & knowledge: • SIMP Project, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL • Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command • Experience with Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) program office

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty and 6 years' related professional experience; Or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development, or STEM related specialty and 4 years' related professional experience. • SAFe for Teams, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, Agile Technical Tester, & Implementing Test Process Improvement certifications within 12 months of start date

    CLEARANCE:

    Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance. A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) is HIGHLY desired.

    LOCATION/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    Place of work is Colorado Springs, remote work opportunity is available. You may be required to travel periodically, less than 10%.

    The pay range for this position in Colorado is $125,000/year to $175,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract rates, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. CNF also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base pay information is based on market location.
