  • Responsibilities

    SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).

    ‬‬‬ Responsibilities

    • Conduct geotechnical investigations and soil analysis for project planning and development.
    • Develop engineering designs for foundations, retaining structures, and soil stabilization.
    • Perform field inspections to assess soil conditions and project compliance.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on disaster recovery and infrastructure projects.
    • Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and recommendations.
    • Support FEMA-related disaster recovery efforts and adhere to applicable federal guidelines.

    Requirements

    • Education & Experience:
      • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in a related field and professional registration.
      • Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience in a related field.
    • Certification: Professional Engineer (PE).
    • Completion of FEMA courses preferred:
      • IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility.
      • IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation.
      • IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step.
      • IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process.
      • IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals.
      • 7116: Program Delivery Manager.
      • 7117: Site Inspection.
    • Work onsite in North Carolina.
    • EOD Required.
