SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).
Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and soil analysis for project planning and development.
- Develop engineering designs for foundations, retaining structures, and soil stabilization.
- Perform field inspections to assess soil conditions and project compliance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on disaster recovery and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and recommendations.
- Support FEMA-related disaster recovery efforts and adhere to applicable federal guidelines.
Requirements
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience in a related field and professional registration.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience in a related field.
- Certification: Professional Engineer (PE).
- Completion of FEMA courses preferred:
- IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility.
- IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation.
- IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal - Transparency at Every Step.
- IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process.
- IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals.
- 7116: Program Delivery Manager.
- 7117: Site Inspection.
- Work onsite in North Carolina.
- EOD Required.
