    Job Summary:

    A leading provider of payment processing solutions is seeking a Solutions Engineer to act as a technical expert and trusted advisor for merchants and partners. This role involves collaborating with Sales, Client Success, and Product teams to design and deliver customized payment solutions that enhance payment acceptance and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate has experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or consulting within the payments industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Serve as SME: Provide technical expertise to support Account Executives and Client/Partner Success Managers in pre-sales efforts.

    • Lead Technical Discovery: Assess merchant/partner needs and design tailored solutions aligned with business goals.

    • Presentations & Demos: Deliver technical presentations and product demos to merchants, partners, and internal teams.

    • RFI/RFP Support: Contribute to RFI/RFP responses with product insights and technical expertise.

    • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with Product, Sales, and Implementation teams to ensure smooth solution deployment.

    • Industry Insights: Stay updated on industry trends, payment technologies, and competitive landscape to enhance solution offerings.

    • Customer Feedback: Provide product and development teams with feedback based on customer needs.

    • Post-Sales Support: Assist post-sales teams during onboarding and implementation when necessary.

    • Training: Conduct technical enablement training for internal teams and external partners.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • 5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, technical pre-sales support, or technical consulting in the payments industry.

    • Proven success partnering with sales teams to create solutions for large, complex merchants.

    • Strong ability to simplify technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Experience presenting to C-level executives.

    • Ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment.

    • Customer-centric problem-solving skills.

    Preferred:

    • Experience in consumer lending payment solutions.

    • Knowledge of card brand regulations, interchange programs, and merchant services analysis.

    • Familiarity with ISV and ISO partner integrations.

    • Salesforce proficiency.

    • Understanding of MEDDPICC or Value Selling methodologies.

    Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong technical acumen in payment solutions and financial technology.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

    Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and knowledge of industry best practices
  • Compensation
    $160,000 per year
