    Job Description

    The Solution Engineer is the front line of Memorable Experiences and Intelligent Change and will play a pivotal role in designing and selling automated-driven solutions that address the complex challenges faced by our customers. Using a tool set of creative thinking, the newest industry technologies and other material handling assets, the Solution Engineer will help analyze date, build designs, flows, and processes that will not only achieve the desired result for the customer but create a “WOW” experience that leads to long lasting customer relationships.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and challenges, designing scalable and effective solutions that leverage our product offerings
    • Act as a technical liaison between clients and internal teams, providing expert guidance and support throughout the sales lifecycle
    • Visit customer sites to help understand the current problems, processes, product profiles, existing MHE, and/or obstacles in place
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance our solution offerings and engineering processes
    • Analyze raw business data, design automated warehouses, create project budgets, and summarize solution with reports / presentations
    • Assist in the sales process by participating in presentations to the customer
    • Create 3D drawings/renderings for current proposals and for future opportunities
    • Assist and share work duties across the Zion team as we grow
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience is preferred
    • 5+ Years’ Experience in the Material Handling Industry or equivalent experience is preferred
    • Experience working with large data sets and using industry knowledge to understand the key data points to summarize.
    • Detailed knowledge of Conveyor, Racking, Storage Systems, Robotics, Goods to Person Systems, etc.
    • Well-developed verbal/interpersonal skills with strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills. Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI) and AutoDesk Products (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.).
    • Industry knowledge related to supply chain, logistics, material handling systems, and software (such as WCS, WES, WMS, CCS, ERP, etc.) is preferred
    • Ability to work without direct supervision with a high degree of independence
    • Travel up to 20% or as needed
