We are currently looking for a LEANPAK LEAD - MODIFICATION CENTER OPERATION at our ESTACADA, OR location.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Train as Operator of the Steinhauer Machine
- Efficiently operate machine, direct support staff for safe/efficient production
- Create a work order schedule to prioritize orders; meet all ship date requirements for multiple locations
- Process material efficiently, safely, and accurately
- Become proficient with AutoCAD tools and enclosure design software. (Minimum CAD requirement: Ability to identify features, add lines, and quickly measure features.
- measure, move, add lines, identify, and move zero points within 1 month)
- Debur metal using hand tools to meet finished product standards, inspect and package orders for shipment
- QC parts to ensure compliance with drawings (utilize basic measuring tools, such as calipers)
- Utilize lean manufacturing methods, with a focus on 6S for the department
- Warehouse related tasks, order pulling, staging, packaging, shipping
- Process work orders efficiently using the ERP system. (basic warehouse functions)
- Adequately complete other duties as assigned.
- Operate other modification equipment as the department expands its line of Value-Added services
- Train support staff as needed to accomplish department goals
- Take the lead in developing procedures, tracking orders, ensuring compliance with packaging guidelines.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Committed to 100% accuracy and doing tasks right the first time (DIRTFT)
- Leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- High level of attention to detail with Outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to quickly learn and use Steinhauer Machine Software and controls
- Excellent oral & written communication skills (Significant use of Excel)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Customer-focused
- Metal Manufacturing experience/Panel shop modification experience.
- CNC experience (Vocational/School training acceptable)
- Job scheduling experience (self and others)
- Basic print reading with 2D CAD software experience/ability to read dimension/tolerance call-outs within a month of hire
- Operator level experience with manufacturing software
- Ability to schedule and adapt to changes in an evolving environment under time-sensitive conditions
- Ability to self-direct under limited supervision
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Repetitive lifting and pulling of heavy objects (50+ lbs.)
- Use of Steinhauer machine, forklifts, and stock pickers
- Warehouse environment
- Usual 40-hour work-week Monday through Friday however based on business needs evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required.
- Requires regular and reliable on-site attendance
