Position Description: The Lighting Retrofit Auditor creates surveys/audits of existing lighting systems for commercial and industrial installations including offices, warehouses, multi-family buildings, parking areas, retail stores, and government facilities. The data collected from these audits is used by the team to create fixture retrofit and controls proposals that detail energy savings, payback estimates, retrofit product specifications, labor estimates, recycling services, and associated cost. Further, the data collected is also used by the OneSource Energy Team to complete applications for the local Public Utility Rebate Programs.
Position Responsibilities:
•Conduct lighting surveys/audits at customer facilities located throughout Southern California; Document customer lighting goals and concerns; Identify current lighting fixture types, lamping, quantities, hours of operation, lighting controls, room/area square footage and ceiling heights, obstructions, and existing light levels; Enter data into the Snap Count™ Lighting Audit System.
•Understand and articulate the value of local Utility Rebate Programs.
•Work as a team member to be a resource to the sales team, lighting operations team, and work with the PRC Lighting Project Estimator and Controls Specialist to prepare timely and accurate lighting retrofit proposals.
•Willing to attend industry training and trade shows to maintain product application knowledge and willing to work towards/maintain industry certifications (i.e., Certified Energy Auditor-CEA/Certified Energy Manager-CEM).
•Comfortable in developing industry contacts pertinent to lighting technology and utility rebate programs.
•Willing to develop customer relationships that grow current and future sales opportunities for OneSource.
Desired Candidate Skills and Experience:
•At least 5 years of experience in the lighting industry/electrical distribution, electrical construction, or have related experience. •Desirable to be a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or have experience conducting lighting and energy audits. •Understand and be compatible with the OneSource Mission and Values. •Demonstrate maturity and common sense in dealing with people. •Have strong analytical and data collection skills. •Have exceptional attention to detail. •Willing to work both independently and with a team. •Willing to learn how to use basic auditing equipment and tools such as cameras, light meters, architectural drawings, basic hand tools, and tape/laser measurement devices. •Be comfortable occasionally climbing a ladder. •Must be a licensed driver, have a personal vehicle, and willing to drive to customer facilities located throughout the OneSource footprint. •Desirable to have a working familiarity with Microsoft Office and Apple IOS.
