Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Sales, the Global Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting the needs of a professional sales team with a high-energy and proactive approach to anticipating organizational requirements. He/She will assist the executives with every detail that allows the global sales team to meet and exceed its revenue targets. The role is a remote position requiring frequent travel throughout the US.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position has accountability of maintaining organized processes and procedures and supporting the global sales organization in achieving its objectives. The role serves as a liaison for internal/external clients and hotels. Additionally, the Global Sales Coordinator will liaise with internal departments that work directly with the global sales organization. The successful candidate has basic to intermediary project management skills. He/She is independent, confident and assertive.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) INCLUDE:
OPERATIONAL AND FUNCTIONAL
- Primarily supporting the Sr. Director, Global Sales and approximately 3 segment leaders who combined oversee a group of approximately 25 sales professionals.
- Liaise with several departments that in impact the day to day work of the sales organization, such as, marketing, sales effectiveness, sales operations.
- Assist in planning, scheduling of appointments and execution of sales events (internal and external)
- Single point of contact for Agency and Client Event Planning, to include set up client events, sending invitations, scheduling attendees, confirm catering- reserving restaurants and facilities, send brochures and giveaways, coordinate arrival/departures-off-site team meetings)
- Ability to analyze and organize requirements and create a project plan for global sales initiatives
STRATEGY AND PLANNING
- Function as a project management lead for global sales initiatives. The successful candidate will anticipate the needs of internal and external clients and take a proactive approach in organizing the right solutions and support.
- The Global Sales Coordinator will proactively assess processes and procedures for annual events and initiatives and take the necessary steps to optimize on a as needed basis
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
- The Global Sales coordinator understands the financial goals of the global sales organization and maintains accurate records to effectively track business booked by members of the global sales team.
- He/She will spearhead reducing non-selling activities to global sales sellers and effectively delegating them the most appropriate resources
INTERACT WITH OUTSIDE CONTACTS
- The Global Sales Coordinator will represent any member of the global sales organization during an absence, therefore, high level of client (internal and external) knowledge, organization and customer service is required at all times.
- Proficiency in working with company advertising agencies and working with corporate marketing team to execute direct marketing activities.
- Detail oriented and a 100% follow-up and follow-through attitude
ACCOUNTABILITY
- Responsible for individual performance and contribution to Sonesta hotels.
- Responsible for effectively managing time commitments
- Responsible for meeting targeted deadlines
- Candidate is expected to learn and understand roles, responsibilities and business of the clients and hotels with whom we partner with
- Responsible for using the appropriate account management tools to effectively track activities, opportunities and follow up

ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION
A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support their competencies therein
- Solid administrative, organizational, data and communication skills
- Proficient in ability to support multiple roles
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a support, administrative, or professional client services role
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a face-paced environment, supporting multiple roles at the mid-senior management level
- Ability to organize annual trade shows and other client-facing events
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency on MS Office Suite; and ability to develop customer facing documents including PowerPoint presentation, excel workbooks and reports.
- Strong interest and desire in continuing to develop technologically savvy skills
- Must possess the ability and willingness to travel 5% of the time.

- Ability to deliver presentations in a concise, well-organized manner
- Valid driver license, passport, serviceable automobile, proof of insurance and approved to work in USA
- Position is remote/home based, requiring a dedicated home office.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Hotel experience or knowledge of the hotel industry is advantageous.
- Experience working remote preferred.
