Responsibilities: • Exceed guest expectations while increasing sales and profits and overseeing the success of day-to-day operations of the restaurant kitchen • Manage controllable department expenses such as food, supplies, uniforms, equipment, and collaborate with vendors to achieve the highest quality products at the most reasonable price • Combine diverse ingredients in a unique way to create new and distinctive menu items and specials • Provide guidance and direction to staff, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance to make the kitchen run efficiently • Ensure that all food preparation, including processes, portioning, and garnishing, is well supervised, and confirm that the finished dishes are visually appealing Qualifications: • Must have 7-8 years of culinary experience for this role • Understanding and compliance with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate Compensation: $50,000 - $56,000 yearly
