The Sous Chef responsibilities will be but not limited to: Managing large scale food operations in a healthcare setting and a multi-retail environment. Adhering to sanitation and safety policies. Preparing meals that are nutritious and esthetically pleasing. Engaging with the customer to get feedback on meals so that adjustments and improvements can be made. Demonstrate knife safety and culinary skills. Read recipes and follow directions. Access inventory to be sure of what is on hand and what is needed. Be a good steward of the budget and resources allocated to the department. Provides leadership through personal example and relationship building with department staff. Support cultural diversity and inclusivity. Help the department to fulfill its mission by meeting or exceeding its goals. Upholds Lemontree Healthcare’s mission and maintains professional growth within the organization. Must demonstrate knowledge of HACCP guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements Basic Education Requirement – Associate’s degree and 5 years of equivalent experience work experience, or Bachelor’s degree and preferably 2 years of equivalent experience work experience. Basic Management Experience - 5 years or greater in management roles, background in clinical nutrition, healthcare setting and/or the food industry. Basic Functional Experience – Be well versed in regulatory and sanitation practices. Certifications/Licenses- ServSafe certification required. OSHA General Industry Training required.
