    The Sous Chef responsibilities will be but not limited to:  Managing large scale food operations in a healthcare setting and a multi-retail environment.  Adhering to sanitation and safety policies.  Preparing meals that are nutritious and esthetically pleasing.  Engaging with the customer to get feedback on meals so that adjustments and improvements can be made.  Demonstrate knife safety and culinary skills.  Read recipes and follow directions.  Access inventory to be sure of what is on hand and what is needed.  Be a good steward of the budget and resources allocated to the department.  Provides leadership through personal example and relationship building with department staff.  Support cultural diversity and inclusivity.  Help the department to fulfill its mission by meeting or exceeding its goals.  Upholds Lemontree Healthcare’s mission and maintains professional growth within the organization.  Must demonstrate knowledge of HACCP guidelines.

    Qualifications & Requirements Basic Education Requirement – Associate’s degree and 5 years of equivalent experience work experience, or Bachelor’s degree and preferably 2 years of equivalent experience work experience. Basic Management Experience - 5 years or greater in management roles, background in clinical nutrition, healthcare setting and/or the food industry. Basic Functional Experience – Be well versed in regulatory and sanitation practices. Certifications/Licenses- ServSafe certification required. OSHA General Industry Training required.
