    Sous Chef:

As a Sous Chef, you would oversee all Back of House operations and be responsible for purchasing, receiving, preparing, and presenting all food products in a timely manner, according to established recipes and procedures.     As a Sous Chef, your responsibilities would include:

    Communicate with employees to ensure all levels of food production are executed to Nello's standards.

    Supervising and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen are met and adhered to during your scheduled shifts.

    Assist in counting, placing, and organizing food and beverage inventory.

    In conjunction with all management, enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing the cleanliness of kitchen and ensure food safety at all times.

    Maintaining productivity standards to ensure efficient and timely service is met.

    Managing performance, including coaching, developing, and disciplining employees

    Assisting with the development of kitchen employees and communicating needs to all manager

    Assisting in the maintenance of food costs.

    Directly work with employees, including assisting with scheduling and hour allocation of employees.

    Assist in clerical work including, but not limited to, invoicing, receiving, and placing orders.

    Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment for the staff in a manner consistent with our core values and operational goals

    Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures

    Directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times.

    Ensure all checklists and forms are filled out and performed to Cien Agaves' standards.

    Overseeing the proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items

    Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures

    Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling labor costs

    Assist Kitchen Manager with all responsibilities

    Drive sales by working with all team members to execute excellent operations and recruiting efforts.

    Conducting food service for off-site catering and marketing events.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum 1 year experience in leadership of a restaurant kitchen

    Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

    Knowledge of common food safety practices

    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

    Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and Word

    Excellent written and communication skills
