    Job Summary

    The Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager will be responsible for managing all kitchen operations, including coordinating with suppliers for food and inventory, training kitchen staff on reheating and plating food, and ensuring that food safety standards are maintained. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality food in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities:

    Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring the timely preparation and service of food.

    Work closely with suppliers to order and maintain stock of ingredients and kitchen supplies.

    Train and supervise kitchen staff, including Meal Prep Associates, in reheating and plating food.

    Oversee food preparation, ensuring that dishes are served to the highest quality and presentation standards.

    Monitor food safety procedures, including proper food storage, reheating, and sanitation.

    Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

    Develop and refine processes for efficient kitchen workflow and food service.

    Collaborate with café management to update menus, plan specials, and handle customer feedback.

    Handle inventory management, ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked without waste.

    Assist in preparing and serving food during busy periods when necessary.

    Qualifications:

    Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or in a similar leadership role within a kitchen environment.

    Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards.

    Experience working with suppliers and managing kitchen inventory.

    Excellent leadership and team management skills.

    Ability to train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation and presentation.

    Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy kitchen setting.

    Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

    Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
