Job Description
The Forest Stewards Guild (the Guild) is hiring a full-time position in the Southeast! The Southeast Region Coordinator will support the growth of the Guild’s presence in the Southern Appalachian Mountains through member engagement, print and social media outreach, hosting webinars and in-person workshops, and collaborative event planning.
Position Description
A key focus for The Southeast Region Coordinator will be to support education and outreach efforts in print and digital formats; community, partner, and member engagement; and supporting Guild projects and programs that may include some field work. Key programs this position will engage with may include the Women Owning Woodlands Network, Seeing the Forest for the Queers community network for LGBTQIA+ identifying individuals, Guild membership, and Guild communications. This position will work closely with the Deputy Director, Communications Manager, and other program coordinators and managers in the east. Location
This is a fully remote position for applicants living in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Some travel will be required. Applicants living in the Asheville, NC area or southwest VA are preferred. Other locations in the Southern Appalachians may be considered.
