HR Coordinator Space Needle 28 reviews - Seattle, WA 98109 GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: Assist the Human Resources department in staffing the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass with qualified Team Members. Help instill a Team Member first attitude throughout the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Process employment references, background checks, and pre-employment drug screens. Schedule interviews. Participate in career and hiring fairs. Screen all incoming applications and resumes when needed. Conduct interviews for non-exempt positions if needed. Put together new Team Member files. Maintain excel spreadsheet to track all interviews, requisitions, and new hires. Assist with Team Member trainings including new hire orientation and guest service. Assist the Human Resources department with other projects as needed. Manage all filing projects for department. Help coordinate and get supplies for Team Member events. Administrative support for Human Resources department. Back up front desk. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent. BA degree or equivalent classes and experience in Human Resources strongly preferred. One year recruiting experience preferred. Tourism, hospitality or restaurant experience preferred. Knowledgeable of employment laws and regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable with public speaking. Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Experience with Taleo or similar applicant tracking system a plus. Abillity to walk, stand, reach and lift up to 25 pounds.
