    Job Description

    Join our dynamic high school team in Tulsa, United States, as a Spanish Teacher for the 2024-2025 academic year. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated educator to inspire and guide our students in their journey to master the Spanish language and explore Hispanic cultures.

    • Develop and implement engaging Spanish language curriculum for high school students
    • Create and deliver interactive lessons that promote language acquisition and cultural understanding
    • Assess student progress through various methods, including oral and written evaluations
    • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners
    • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall language program and cross-curricular initiatives
    • Integrate technology to enhance language learning and cultural experiences
    • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as language clubs or cultural events
    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and program objectives
    • Stay current with best practices in foreign language education and implement innovative teaching strategies
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field
    • Valid Oklahoma teaching certification/license for Spanish at the secondary level
    • Native or near-native fluency in Spanish, with excellent speaking, reading, and writing skills
    • Strong classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment
    • Proficiency in curriculum development and lesson planning for diverse learners
    • Experience with various assessment methods and grading practices
    • Familiarity with educational technology and its integration in language instruction
    • Knowledge of second language acquisition methodologies
    • Understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures and current events in the Hispanic world
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a team-oriented environment
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
    • Previous high school teaching experience preferred
    • Experience working with diverse student populations is highly desirable

    _ Compensation and Benefits:_

    This is a Full-Time, 10-month position. The salary is commensurate with experience and is based on the KIPP Tulsa salary scale.
