Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Private Equity & Real Estate Technology group, responsible for revolutionizing businesses through innovative technology platforms and data-driven solutions for asset management and portfolio oversight. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technologists to design, develop, test, deploy, and support various applications and systems hosted on AWS. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving Blackstone's transformation within the Alternative Asset Management industry through the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software solutions using Python, C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and applications using Agile methodologies and project management tools like JIRA.
• Build cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services, Terraform, Docker, and Nginx to ensure scalability, reliability, and robustness.
• Utilize CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins) for building, testing, and deploying application code across various environments.
• Design, deploy, and maintain APIs and microservices for seamless integration with front-end applications and third-party systems.
• Develop user-friendly interfaces using React while adhering to design standards and leveraging reusable components for optimal user experience.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, lead technical design discussions, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot software defects as needed.
• Provide technical support, automate repetitive tasks, and stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Mentor junior developers, contribute to team culture, and actively engage in knowledge sharing and skill development initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of full-stack software development experience, with proficiency in Python, C#, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS, and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservice architectures, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Experience working in an Agile environment, managing projects from inception to completion.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for learning, teaching, and collaborating with team members.
