Description:

This position of Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Specialist will support our manufacturing facility (425 Cayuga Road, Cheektowaga NY) as it rapidly increases production. SparkCharge is selling its portable fast-charging systems for Electric Vehicles as fast as we can make them. The S/R/I (Shipping/Receiving/ Inventory) Specialist will assume all responsibilities for accepting up to 10 or 12 deliveries per day, properly receiving materials into inventory, putting them away, preparing finished goods for shipping, and conducting the shipping transaction. This first shift position requires speed, patience, and strong attention to detail.

We also provide “Mobile Charging-as-a-Service” (MCaaS) through our “ Currently” network, which allows EV owners and businesses to schedule an EV charge delivery to wherever their vehicle is located. Responsibilities:

• Ensure deliveries match purchase orders
• Process deliveries correctly using proper receiving documentation
• Enter received items into the Company’s inventory management software with high accuracy
• Put away received materials into Raw Material Inventory, and deliver non-inventoried items to the correct department
• Conduct basic end-of-line product performance testing prior to shipping
• Package Finished Goods into the proper packaging configuration
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality condition of orders prepared for shipment
• Load pallets as needed onto freight vehicles
• Prepare and process all shipping paperwork
• Prepare cycle count inventories using Company inventory software
• Conduct cycle counts and resolve discrepancies
• Address root causes of inaccuracies as they are identified
• Pull materials and prepare kits for the manufacturing lines
• Maintain equipment used in the Shipping & Receiving process
• Work with Quality to document non-conformances
• Maintain traceability of components

Requirements:

• Minimum of a high school diploma
• Experience managing physical inventory of parts in a manufacturing environment, including
• the conduct of cycle count and 100% physical inventories
• Expertise using inventory software programs
• Experience performing all shipping and receiving tasks, including expertise using S&R software
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack, and the ability to be licensed on forklift operation
• Ability to lift 75 pounds more than once in a day
• Ability to work safely with heavy loads and with multi-tier shelving. A history of safe work performance

Additional “Plus” Experiences include:

• Certifications as an Inventory Specialist or Supply Chain Management specialist.
• Certification in international shipping
• Experience with Electric Vehicles or EV charging
• Experience in the Automotive Industry
• Ability to perform Assembly duties during downtime, and an interest in doing so
