We are seeking an energetic and experienced Special Education Teacher aide to join our team! As a Special Education Teacher aide, you will work with students with learning, sensory processing, developmental, and language and communication disorders. Your goal is to recognize their individual educational needs and create a fun environment and assist the staff . The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, passionate, and dedicated to helping children with learning disabilities.
Responsibilities:
Create and enforce classroom rules and procedures
Follow instructions provided by lead teacher
Create goal oriented group activities
Logging information about kids activities while in class
Write and submit necessary reports
Communicate with parents and other staff members
Assist staff in cleaning classroom
Must be comfortable with diaper changing
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher and special education license
Previous experience as a special education teacher aide is preferred
Good understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related disorders
Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
