We have a wonderful opportunity for a Special Education Teacher located in Independence, Oregon for the 2025-2026 school year! We are seeking 3 SPED Teachers for the upcoming school year. Two needs are within the Learning Resource Center at the Elementary School level and 1 need within the Behavior Program at the Middle School level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth
  
• Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to match student ability levels
  
• Work in self-contained, team, departmental, or itinerant capacity as assigned
  
• Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation
  
• Collaboration and Consultation, Progress Monitoring and Documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from any accredited university
  
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements
  
• One year of student teacher or approved internship
