We have a wonderful opportunity for a Special Education Teacher in Renton, Washington. We are looking for an ASAP start through the end of the school y ear June 18, 2025. This need is for ages K-5th grade and is within our Self-Contained classroom. 

We are looking for SPED Teachers who:

• are proactive about their own needs and the needs of the kids they serve

• possess a variety of clinical competencies and the drive to continually learn and improve

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth
• Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to match student ability levels
  
• Work in self-contained, team, departmental, or itinerant capacity as assigned
• Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation
  
• Collaboration and Consultation, Progress Monitoring and Documentation

Requirements

• Current WA Special Education Certification
• Special Education Teaching Experience
• Fingerprinting and background check required
• 2 completed supervisory references upfront
