  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Essential Job Functions

    • Provide weekend operation support through various tasks as needed, including:
      • Assessing general needs during the program and be able to address those needs in an appropriate way
      • Communicating effectively with volunteers and parents
      • Working with other staff to set-up and tear-down
      • Providing evaluation of situations and making appropriate decisions for issues regarding parents and staffing
    • Coordination of the necessary staffing requirements for weekend services:
      • Recruiting, building and maintaining volunteers
      • Contacting potential and regular volunteers by telephone and email
      • Obtaining and maintaining volunteer information
      • Helping forecast the needs of the Special Needs ministry in regards to volunteer staffing
      • Providing input regarding the design and implementation of volunteer training
    • Assisting in the execution of various department and church events, including but not limited to:
      • Dad/Daughter Dinner
      • Volunteer Appreciation
      • Easter
      • Christmas Eve

    • A passion for reaching the lost
    • Personal integrity in all areas of life
    • Must be – or willing to become – a participating member of CCV
    • Regularly attends worship services with their family
    • Is an active participant in a neighborhood group, a transformation group and is a regular tither

    Education and Experience

    • A degree, training in a related field, or ministry proven experience
    • Working knowledge of the business of the church and procedures is helpful
    • Skilled in using a database for volunteer information, recruiting, and attendance is a plus
