  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Provide logistical support for companywide communication efforts, including (but not limited to) public relations and publicity, internal communications, social media and online channels.

    • Write and edit press releases, team member communications and social media posts. Provide writing assistance and counsel to other corporate departments as needed.
    • Provide logistical support for public relations efforts at Boyd Gaming properties across the country.
    • Administer content for company’s media relations and investor websites.
    • Leverage social media channels to support strategic communications initiatives.
    • Monitor media coverage on the Company and its properties; compile and distribute regular media monitoring reports.
    • Coordinate and publish multi-media content, including photos and video.
    • Other duties assigned by management.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience; experience in the gaming industry a plus.
    • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; degree in Communications, Journalism or related discipline a plus.
    • Must have a high level of written and verbal communication competency.
    • Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving.
    • Able to switch gears quickly, maintain calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.
    • Strong working knowledge and familiarity with social media.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher).
    • Willing to go beyond defined job duties when required to support critical department projects.
    • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
