Speech-Language Pathologist
Join our team in Willmar, Minnesota, a scenic community surrounded by lakes and natural beauty. This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position offers the opportunity to work in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting, where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients while enjoying the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere of Willmar. This full-time role is projected at 35 hours per week, with a comprehensive benefits package.
Speech-Language Pathologist Job Responsibilities:
- Assess and Treat Patients: Provide speech therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing facility, addressing a range of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate, timely documentation for all patient evaluations, treatments, and progress reports in compliance with facility policies.
- Program Development: Plan and implement therapy programs to enhance patient care and maximize outcomes.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated and compassionate care.
- Education: Lead in-service training sessions for staff and contribute to the development of clinical best practices within the therapy department.
- Operational Support: Assist with the day-to-day operations of the therapy department, ensuring the highest standards of care and efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Master’s Degree (M.A. or M.S.) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensure: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, a passion for patient care, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience: While previous experience in a skilled nursing setting is a plus, new graduates are encouraged to apply!
