Speech Language Pathologist
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position at our hospital-based facilities in Leon and Corning, IA, involving a mix of inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) caseloads. This role offers a dynamic work environment with a blend of hospital and outpatient therapy, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on both acute and long-term patients. Speech-Language Pathologist Job Responsibilities:
- Assess and Treat Patients: Provide comprehensive speech therapy services to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Documentation: Complete accurate, timely documentation for all patient evaluations, treatments, and progress reports.
- Program Development: Plan, market, and develop new therapy programs to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.
- Education: Lead in-service training sessions for staff therapists and contribute to the development of clinical best practices.
- Operational Support: Assist with the overall operations of the therapy department to maintain high standards of care and efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Master’s Degree (M.A. or M.S.) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensure: Must possess or be eligible for state licensure in Iowa.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, compassionate patient care, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience: New graduates are welcome to apply! Previous experience in hospital or outpatient settings is a plus, but not required.
