Speech Language Pathologist (Minimum of 1 year experience)
Speech Pathways of St. Johns is a growing, family-owned Speech Language Pathologist & Occupational Therapy practice located in Jacksonville, FL. Our mission is to help as well as we can in our area. It is important to be aware that you will be asked to become a part of a team, a family! We want our families to feel as welcome as we would at home.
We are looking to expand our current team of Speech Therapists. Our therapists are required to screen for potential speech needs, perform evaluations, provide therapy services in daycares, in the office, possible home locations and also instruct social skills groups. While we provide services to all ages, the majority of our clientele is pediatrics. Pediatric experience is required. The qualified candidate will have the flexibility to make their own schedule and have their own means of transportation. The position will start as part time (ALREADY HAVE SEVERAL PATIENTS WITH NEED {22 hours+}) with the possibility to grow to full time as case load increases, our caseloads grow pretty fast. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you should have excellent communication (with co-workers and patients) and organizational skills. Minimum 22 hours a week!
This is a contractor position where rates are negotiable
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, licensed Speech Therapist to join our team! As a Speech Therapist, you will be meeting with patients, assessing their speech needs, and creating personalized treatment plans to help them reach their goals. You will also be documenting all patient care, observing and participating in treatment, and adjusting goals and milestones as needed for the best possible outcomes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of speech pathology, is able to provide compassionate care to every patient, and has excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
Make evaluations and create treatment plans customized for that patient, working with them to set short- and long-term goals for their speech and wellness
Assist in the implementation of the treatment plan, adjusting as needed to ensure successful outcomes
Maintaining excellent records of patient needs, care, and outcome
Work closely with the family of the patients and the patients itself to ensure they have the knowledge and tools they need for success
Qualifications
Active state license for practicing speech therapy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong charting and documentation skills
Familiarity with basic computer programs
