We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Surprise, AZ team at The SPEAK Center. This is an in-person 1099 contract position. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and treating students with IEPs for speech and language services. You will work directly with children, assisting in therapy sessions, implementing treatment plans, and providing vital support to facilitate their progress and development. You will also supervise SLPAs and support them during their therapy sessions with students. We encourage all SLPs in the Surprise area to apply!

Therapy Support:
Implement treatment plans and therapy techniques.
Monitor and document students' progress and responses to therapy activities.
Collaborate with SLPAs to adjust treatment strategies based on individual student needs.
Student Interaction and Engagement.
Interact with students in a warm, caring, and child-friendly manner to create a positive therapeutic experience.
Engage students in therapy activities and exercises to stimulate communication and language development.
Foster rapport with students and their families to build trust and ensure a comfortable and supportive experience.
Light lifting of materials and other objects associated with providing assessment and therapeutic interventions.
Administrative Support:
Assist in maintaining student records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with TEA standards.
Coordinate with School staff and SLPA for scheduling students' therapy sessions.
Communication and Collaboration:
Work closely with support staff and parents, providing them with regular updates on students' progress and responses to therapy.
Collaborate with other school staff to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to student therapy.
Communicate effectively with patients' families, offering guidance and support to reinforce therapeutic strategies at home.
Professional Development:
Participate in regular professional development opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in pediatric speech therapy.
Stay updated on the latest research, advancements, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
