Now Hiring: Speech-Language Pathologist Location: Delaware Public Schools | Contract Position
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team in supporting students’ communication development. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with speech and language challenges in a collaborative, school-based environment.
Therapist Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Valid Delaware License in Speech-Language Pathology
Evidence of a criminal background check
Negative or inactive positive Mantoux tuberculosis test
Experience with students with mild to severe disabilities
Preferred: Experience in Delaware public school systems
Preferred: Experience in the use of augmentative communication devices
Scope of Work:
Deliver screenings, evaluations, and therapy using a transdisciplinary approach
Provide services in classroom, community, group, individual, or consultative settings
Prepare and maintain evaluation and student progress reports
Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in line with Appoquinimink School District procedures
Attend IEP meetings to support eligibility and placement decisions
Collaborate and communicate effectively with parents and school staff
Adhere to Cost Recovery guidelines
Participate in staff development activities, including in-service days
Provide support with assistive technology related to speech and language services
