Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (required).
- Experience: 5+ years of clinical SLP experience; leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, CMS), budget management, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate speech-language pathology staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Coordinate speech therapy services across inpatient, outpatient, or school-based settings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards (e.g., ASHA, Joint Commission).
- Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with physicians, educators, and interdisciplinary teams on patient care plans.
- Provide clinical guidance and consultation for complex cases.
- Oversee staff continuing education, training, and professional development.
