Salary: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour based on experience

Sunshine Physical Therapy Clinic is seeking a full-time, salaried Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for our Pediatric Speech Therapy program. The successful candidate will be licensed in Florida with a minimum of one year of experience with pediatric patients.

Sunshine Physical Therapy Clinic is the only non-profit therapy clinic in Indian River County, FL. We offer Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies for both adults and children in an interdisciplinary setting prioritizing the needs of the individual over the bottom line. Established in 1953, Sunshine Physical Therapy Clinic has maintained a reputation of excellence for over 70 years, meeting the needs of individuals seeking therapy services regardless of their ability to pay. In this role, you work under a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) to treat patients with speech-language delays/disorders. Experience with pediatrics, early childhood intervention, behavior analysis, and/or early childhood development is beneficial. You will work closely with patients and their families and must accurately document their current condition and progress.

Job Responsibilities:

• Follow patient plans of care as written by the CCC-SLP
• Collaborate with therapists across disciplines (OT, PT, etc.) to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Monitor and document patient progress and discuss adjustment of treatment plans with CCC-SLP as needed
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding speech therapy techniques and strategies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements:

Licensed as Speech Language Pathology Assistant in Florida (SLPA DOH license)

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Tech-savvy with the ability to learn quickly

1+ years of pediatric experience is required
