    Job Summary

    Our pediatric sensory clinic is seeking an enthusiastic LICENSED Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team! As an Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you will be working closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to treat children with language impairments, speech disorders, and pragmatic language disorders. You will be following plans of care previously laid out by the SLP and carry out the treatment plans according to protocol. The ideal candidate loves working with children, has strong time management skills, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of speech therapy guidelines. Our clients are primarily children, so experience with pediatrics, early childhood intervention, behavior analysis, and/or human development is beneficial. You will work closely with patient’s families and must have good communication and skills to help parents to understand and continue the work you are doing in the clinic as well as communicate progress towards goals.

    Responsibilities

    Read, understand, and follow all plans of care and therapy laid out for patients under your care

    Assist SLP with exercises, communication, and care coordination as needed

    Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials used on a daily basis

    Attend care plans for patients, provide input, and go over patient care plans

    Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changes

    Qualifications

    Current Texas state licensing as a speech therapy assistant is required

    Previous experience working with children in a therapy setting is desired

    Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude

    Familiarity with electronic medical records

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Strong time management skills

    The ability to make decisions in a high-stress environment

    Playfulness and being a good team player are essential
